A Narwal wet and dry vacuum is a cordless, upright floor cleaner that vacuums and mops hard floors in a single pass. This collection includes three Australia-available models: the S30 Pro (A$999), S30 (A$599), and S20 Pro (A$999). All three are designed for sealed hard floors like tile, vinyl, laminate, and sealed timber, not for carpet or workshop use.

These are household cordless vacuum mops, not workshop drum vacuums. Narwal's S series is built for kitchen spills, pet messes, and daily hard-floor cleaning, with a clean-water tank, dirty-water tank, hot-water self-clean, and a soft mop roller. Kärcher-style WD shop vacs are corded canisters built for sawdust, large liquid spills, and outdoor or garage use; they don't mop or self-clean.

Get a wet and dry vacuum if you want hands-on, on-demand cleanup of spills, pet accidents, and kitchen messes, and you're happy to push it yourself. Get a robot vacuum and mop if you want scheduled, hands-free whole-home cleaning. Many Aussie households own both: the robot for daily floors, the cordless S series for instant spot cleanup.

Choose by feature gap, not just price. The S30 Pro (A$999) suits pet households and large homes, with 60-min runtime, 194°F self-wash, and built-in scissors for hair. The S30 (A$599) is the budget pick for everyday hard floors, with 55-min runtime and 176°F self-wash. The S20 Pro (A$999) prioritises quietness at 43 dB. All three deliver 20,000 Pa suction.

Narwal S20 Pro, S30, and S30 Pro are designed for sealed hard floors like tile, vinyl, laminate, stone, and sealed timber. They are not for carpet or unsealed wood. The S30 and S30 Pro include a dedicated Wood Floor Mode that uses less water to protect timber. For rugs and carpet, pair with a Narwal robot vacuum.

The S30 Pro has built-in scissors that slice tangled hair as it wraps the roller, plus a dual-layer comb that scrapes the cut hair into the dirt tank, SGS-certified at a 0% tangle rate. The S30 and S20 Pro use the dual-layer anti-tangle comb without scissors, which handles short hair and most pet fur.

Yes. All three models deliver 20,000 Pa max suction with 20 N downward roller pressure (S30 and S30 Pro) and continuously feed fresh water plus detergent so the mop never re-deposits dirty water. Max Mode pushes power to the highest level for dried sauce, milk, juice, and pet accidents. Most spills are handled in a single pass.

No, the vacuum self-cleans on the base. Press one button and it rinses the roller with hot water (194°F on the S30 Pro, 176°F on the S30, 149°F on the S20 Pro), then iron-dries the roller, pipes, and filter so nothing stays damp or smelly. The only manual step is emptying the dirty-water tank and tossing the waste-separation bag.

Runtime is 55 minutes (S30) to 60 minutes (S30 Pro and S20 Pro), enough to clean roughly 3,700 to 4,300 ft² (340 to 400 m²) on a single charge. The drying cycle runs at about 45 dB(A) on S30 and S30 Pro, and the S20 Pro operates at 43 dB, quieter than normal conversation, so you can dry it overnight.
